Eminem dilahirkan sebagai Marshall Bruce Mathers III pada 17 Oktober 1972 di St. Joseph Mo. Dia memiliki orang tua bernama Deborah “Debbie” Mathers-Briggs dan Marshall Mathers Jr, meski ayahnya ini mengabaikan keluarganya ketika Eminem masih bayi.

Sebagai seorang anak, keluarga ini berpindah-pindah secara berkala, seringkali membuat Eminem merasa seperti orang terbuang dan menjadi subyek aniaya.

Eminem and Jay-Z will team up for two shows in September where they will each headline the show in their hometown.

Eminem will headline the show at Comerica Park in Detroit on September 2 with Jay-Z as support while Jay-Z will headline the show at Yankee Stadium in New York on September 13 with Eminem as support.

"This is a once in a lifetime set of shows and I know we're both really going to bring it to our home towns," said Eminem. "The fans are going to love this?and so am I. It's gonna be historic."

"These shows are like a dream come true,' Jay-Z added. I've always hoped that hip-hop could play any stadium like other genres of music. How perfect is it that Eminem and I get to play our hometowns and show how far the live rap experience has come? Fun and historic, a great combination all around the board.

Eminem has only done one show since 2005. His show at the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans last October was his only show in the last 5 years.(mn.c)
